You might be aware of the fact that Srisailam is an ancient Kshetram which is in existence even earlier to 19 hundreds of Crores of years and nobody knows about its origin as per Sthalapurana it is stated that Kaliyuga had been repeated 26 times and since all these Yugas this Kshetram is in existence and of course the present structures of this Devasthanam were built by the Kings and Emperors like Krishnadevaraya,Harihararaya,IInd Kondaveeti Reddi Kings, Kakateeyas, Chalukyas, Velama Kings, Chatrapathi Sivaji etc., and as such this Kshetram is being attracted by the devotees all over the World.Average floating population of devotees per day is about 10 thousands.To cater the needs of visiting pilgrims the Devasthanam proposed several developmental programmes like providing better Accommodation, Annadanam, proper water facilities, Sankarakala Pranganam for cultural programmes to improve bhakthi among the devotees, to improve Gosala both for the use of Milk to Abhishekam of Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and also to save Cows which are the symbol of Dharma Devatha as per puranas, Gold Kavacha Pathakam to both Vimana Gopurams of God and Goddess, laying roads, construction of Pushkarini, Mega ´Q´ Complex, Renovation of Sub Temples, ancient Pancha Mathas which played a prominent role in the history of Srisailam etc.  For all the above it requires at least 30 Crores of rupees.

Your goodselves also might be aware of the fact that this Devasthanam has no landed properties and the Devasthanam is depending on donations, sale of tickets etc. It is a well established fact that giving donations to Devasthanam is not only service to God but also service to the devotees.Several devotees who offered donations are expressing their best experiences in view of their services by way of donations etc., to this Holly Shrine.  There is a phrase in Telugu that Kasilo chasthe Moksham, Srisailam vasthe Moksham Hence one can understand the sacredness of this Kshetram.
